Who are your dairy-free ice cream suitable for?

Can vegans consume your products?

Definitely! Our products are 100% plant-based. It is vegetarian and lactose intolerant friendly too! 

Is it gluten-free?

Is your dairy-free collection gluten-free?

Yes it is. Our ingredients are plant-based derived and do not contain any traces of gluten-containing grains.

What about the base of your ice cream?

How is it vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and suitable for lactose intolerant? What are the bases you guys use?

We use 100% plant-based milk, such as oat milk made from certified gluten-free oats from Australia and 100% pasteurized Coconut Cream. 

Where does the sweetness in your ice cream come from?

How is it sweet yet plant-based? 

Fret not! No bees were harmed in the making of our dairy-free flavours. So are our existing products too. We use a naturally derived sweetener called Erithyrol to sweeten up our Calli ice cream.   

What and where does erythritol come from?

Naturally in fruits like grapes, peaches, pears and watermelon and is yielded through a fermentation process. Erythritol is commonly used in many low-sugar and sugar-free foods. Other than that, erythritol has many of the same benefits as stevia.

Do you guys use eggs?

Do you guys use eggs in your ice cream? 

We know other ice cream brands incorporate eggs for color and depth of flavour. However, at Calli, we do not use any form or have traces of eggs. We use pure ingredients such as fresh fruits & nuts, quality Belgian chocolate and 100% quality matcha powder that yields the bold and vibrant colours you see in your ice cream pints! We don’t put things in our Calli ice cream that we wouldn’t want to eat too!

How about added sugars?

Do you guys use any form of added sugar? 

Yes, we do have added sugar – Dextrose & Cane Sugar. 

Dextrose is less sweet than cane sugar and lower in calories but has higher anti-freezing properties so that our ice cream remains softer.  However, the amount added varies per flavour but generally, all the calories of our dairy-free pints are less than half of typical ice creams.

Everything added has a purpose of balancing the sweetness, calories and freezing point to offer the best Calli experience in the lowest calorie possible way. 

Is it Halal certified?

Is your dairy-free collection Halal Certified and safe for Muslims to consume?

Our products are in the process of obtaining a Halal Certification. Our ingredients used as well as the manufacturing facility, are Halal Certified.
